Last week<\/span>, our Air Operations <\/span>Maintenance <\/span>Recruitment team <\/span>caught some desert vibes at <\/span>the<\/span> a<\/span>nnual<\/span> A<\/span>viation <\/span>T<\/span>echnician <\/span>E<\/span>ducation <\/span>C<\/span>ouncil (ATEC)<\/span> Conference<\/span>, held this year<\/span> in <\/span>Tucson, <\/span>Arizona (<\/span>TUS).<\/span> This <\/span>eag<\/span>erly <\/span>a<\/span>nticipated<\/span> maintenance <\/span>conference <\/span>br<\/span>ought<\/span> together <\/span>A<\/span>viation <\/span>M<\/span>aintenance <\/span>Technicians (AMTs)<\/span>, organizations, <\/span>employers, <\/span>product distributors, <\/span>recruiters, <\/span>AMT<\/span> schools and ATEC members<\/span> to <\/span>network<\/span> and <\/span>learn <\/span>in the Sonoran Desert.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Putting the \u201cC\u201d in ATEC<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The \u201cC\u201d in ATEC stands for Council, as the <\/span>Aviation Technician Education Council<\/span><\/b><\/a> is a group of voluntary members who work\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

together to promote and support AMT education, of which Envoy is a member. Formed in 1961, their work has helped with the development of the aviation workforce below the wing. Throughout the year, ATEC hosts events, provides resources, and promotes careers in aviation maintenance.

\u201cThe best part about ATEC, for me, is that it’s a member-driven organization,\u201d said ATEC President and Dean of Aviation and Manufacturing at <\/span>WSU Tech<\/span><\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Jim Hall<\/span><\/b>. \u201cWe come together for the betterment of all. We have a pathway for educators, administrators, and businesses \u2014 and the overall goal is to connect and meet the workforce needs of tomorrow by providing the best part 147 mechanics out there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
