{"id":18190,"date":"2023-04-28T15:00:28","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T20:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/?p=18190"},"modified":"2023-04-28T15:00:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T20:00:28","slug":"envoy-lands-at-purdue-aviation-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/2023\/04\/28\/envoy-lands-at-purdue-aviation-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Envoy Lands at Purdue Aviation Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, April 15, students at Purdue got to see an Envoy-operated Embraer 175 up close and talk with members of the Air Operations Recruitment team as part of Purdue Aviation Day.<\/p>\n<p>All throughout the day, attendees \u2013 students, families, children and aviation enthusiasts \u2013 lined up to get a closer looks at more than 25 airplanes parked on the ramp. Many of the hundreds of people who scoped out our E175 had never even boarded a plane until then, let alone had the chance to sit in the Captain\u2019s seat and learn more about the plane from an actual commercial airline pilot.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gfgmP6FodF8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a Purdue graduate, and someone who used to organize Purdue Aviation Day back when I was a student here, it meant the world to me to be able to fly one of our newest planes in for the event,\u201d said Envoy Air Operations Manager, First Officer<strong> Austin Decker<\/strong>. \u201cEvents such as these are an important part of building the Envoy brand and recruiting the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When attendees weren\u2019t catching up with our pilots on the flight deck, they were walking around the hangar and ramp learning about all the different roles in the aviation industry, grabbing a bite to eat at one of the various onsite food trucks and watching a special demonstration done by the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is Envoy\u2019s second year in a row as a Presenting Sponsor of Purdue Aviation Day,\u201d added Austin. \u201cWe believe Purdue University produces some of the best aviation professionals in the industry, so we\u2019re excited to promote and support them along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re already looking forward to next year\u2019s event \u2013 see you in 2024, Purdue!<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/galleries\/purdue-aviation-day-2023-presented-by-envoy-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to view more photos of the event.<\/a><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, April 15, students at Purdue got to see an Envoy-operated Embraer 175 up close and talk with members of the Air Operations Recruitment team as part of Purdue Aviation Day.
